The benefits of oxygenated water

Many people know hydrogen peroxide as an ideal remedy for minor injuries, because it doesn’t sting. Others use it to bleach hair. Still others use hydrogen peroxide to dry out pimples and treat them. So, if everyone has their own little remedies, what is it really good for? What are the benefits of hydrogen peroxide? TdeM tells you everything.
Antiseptic and disinfectant benefits
Thanks to its strong disinfecting power, hydrogen peroxide has always been used to clean wounds. Because it doesn’t sting, it’s the remedy mothers use to treat little ones’ scrapes and bumps. Gently dab the scratch or wound with a cotton pad. It may foam or turn white, but you’ll avoid tears.
Getting rid of and treating pimples
Because it has sterilizing and disinfecting properties, hydrogen peroxide is perfect for drying out and getting rid of pimples. So, thanks to its benefits, you can add it to your beauty routine or to men’s grooming routine. Start by washing your face with soap and water, then apply a cotton swab soaked in hydrogen peroxide to your pimple. Leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing.
Whitening nails, hair, or clothing
Among the benefits of hydrogen peroxide, its ability to whiten things is one of them. Of course, we know the effects of bleach, but few people attribute the same effects to hydrogen peroxide. In fact, you can whiten your nails by soaking them in warm water before rubbing them with a cotton pad soaked in hydrogen peroxide. As for clothing, simply soak it in a basin of warm water with 30-volume hydrogen peroxide added.
Treating dirt and mold
Few people may know it, but hydrogen peroxide also has surprising benefits for the home. If you have mold in the bathroom, simply spray on hydrogen peroxide, let it sit, then wipe it away with a sponge. This will remove all the mold from your walls or floors. The same goes for PVC fixtures. You can remove yellowed PVC items by spraying the product on them and gently scrubbing them.
Lightening your hair
Want to lighten your hair by creating a few subtle highlights? Simply soak a cotton pad in 20-volume hydrogen peroxide and leave it on your highlights for 10 to 20 minutes. Be careful: the longer you leave it on, the more your hair highlights will lighten.
After that, you’ll need to wash your hair with shampoo. Since hydrogen peroxide is very drying, we recommend using a nourishing shampoo to restore shine to your hair.
While the benefits of hydrogen peroxide are significant, it should still be handled with care. It is essential not to leave it on for too long and to rinse thoroughly.
